We have a regular cookery group, our service users plan, prepare, cook and eat their own meals with help from our staff.
We also have a learning programme for our service users to work in our Cafe, serving and cooking for the public.
We think it is important for our sevice users to develop their independence skills both at LIFE and in the home. We have workshops that focus on independent living skills ranging from cooking basic meals to household tasks.
Money Management sessions that allow our service users to understand the value of money and apply these skills in the community. We often have days out, our service users are supported to order and pay for their own meals, drinks and shopping.
Our group enjoys gardening on sunnier days, we take pride in potting and planting our own fruit, veg and flowers and learning about the life cycle of plants and how to best care for them.
We are part of FareShare, every week we get a delivery and as a group we plan healthy meals for the week and look at the choices we can make to ensure we live a healthy lifestyle.
We do lots of seasonal activities surrounding arts and crafts, from Mosaics to working with clay and making decorations for our displays.
We have a fantastic Dance and Drama teacher who comes in weekly to teach our group to move to music, drama and keeping active.
Food Hygiene is an important skill to learn whilst cooking and working in the Cafe.
Our group enjoys going out in our local community and travel skills are important to learn with many travel routes on our doorstep. We also take part in many events organised by our Local Community Team.
Our unique 'Alice in Wonderland' themed cafe is ran by our services users who are involved with the planning, cooking/baking and serving our customers.

Who doesnt love a trip to the beach? We definitely do! We regurlarly take our group out and about whether thats into town to go bowling or see a film or to the local pub for some lunch and even to the seaside in Summer.
Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Diwali are all exciting times of the year, we love to decorate our building with lots of homemade decorations! Christmas dinner is a big day for us alongside our Halloween Disco!
